A pro bono project branding and social media campaign for Loyola College Alumni Day, a prestigious private Catholic secondary school founded by the Jesuits in 1949, my alma mater.
The committee chose #keklitukita (meaning “we are the family of Loyola alumni”; KEKL stands for Keluarga Eks Kolese Loyola, or “Alumni of Loyola College Family”) to reignite the spirit of togetherness. They wanted various elements and messages in the branding, and I aimed for a simple, minimalist logo with geometric shapes inspired by the school emblem and a fresh, youthful color palette. The campaign focused on “coming home,” a personal approach to the alumni, encouraging them to reminisce about their old days at the college and feel welcomed back on the day of the event.
Initially, I was hesitant because I live overseas and had only one chance to do a photography session during a short visit. But the plan was to focus on a social media campaign with reels, stories, and interactive content to boost alumni engagement. So, I had to maximize my creativity with limited materials.
Despite not being there on Alumni Day, I was thrilled with the positive impact of the branding and campaign. The alumni loved it, and the T-shirts sold out, leading to a reprint due to high demand. More than 500 alumni gathered that day.
